Description

Let's give this another go.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
:bulletorange:Name: Adrian William Foalsteppe
Bullet; OrangeAge: 16
Bullet; OrangeGender: Male
Bullet; OrangePokémon: Arcanine
Bullet; OrangeBirthday: March 28th (♈)
Bullet; OrangeHeight: 6'5"
Bullet; OrangeWeight: 246 lbs
Bullet; OrangeNature: Relaxed
Bullet; OrangeHometown: Undella Town (Originally Celadon, but can vary at times)
Bullet; OrangePersonality:
Adrian is usually a smiling dog, optimistic, and really likes to socialize. He understands exactly how different everyone can be, and is tolerant of many different personalities and quirks. He likes to keep a mildly active dynamic, whether it's in speaking or being physically in motion; however, since evolving from a Growlithe he's still getting used to his new height and weight, and has mellowed down a little bit as a result. He's laid-back and a bit lazy sometimes, but he's passionate about and extremely loyal to the people he loves, just like the dog he is. He will happily give up his time to help out someone he holds dear. He is still pretty poor at making decisions, however, and is pretty gullible, especially when it comes to people he trusts (actually he's just kind of dumb in general). He is extremely prone to acting under peer pressure. Most of the foolish things he does is in order to raise a good laugh, as he will take attention wherever he can find it. He is desperately trying to better himself as a person, however, and is willing to accept guidance from other Pokémon in order to do so. He tries to have better judgement when it comes to the Pokémon he meets as well - no more repeats of the 'gang' incident. Before counseling, he had the tendency to lie in order to get what he wants, but has now decided that honesty is a much nicer way to go, as it can really relieve some stress. However, he's still getting used to that fact, and is unsure who to trust with his deeper secrets.
Bullet; OrangeHistory:
Adrian's been here and there - literally; his father's job had the Foalsteppe family constantly moving to different beach hotspots all over the world, and they never stayed very long at all. He picked up the beach-like language as a small child, and it earned him a popularity of sorts among his peers in elementary school. He was always under the impression that he was making a bunch of friends, but he never really made bonds strong enough to make him miss someone once he moved away. He never thought anything of it, either. This changed when the family moved to Lilycove City, Hoenn, and Adrian met this really nice Vulpix girl named Teri. They became very close friends, to the point where Teri developed a bit of a crush on the Growlithe boy. However, as gullible as he was, Adrian started to get involved with a gang, completely unaware of their malicious intentions as they were holding back to earn the boy's trust. In order to keep these new 'friends' of his, peer pressure drove him into getting a tattoo and an ear piercing that got Teri suspicious. She didn't want her imagination to go too far with what he might have been doing, so she insisted for him to accompany her during her private capoeira lessons for self-defense. As the school year came to a close and the Foalsteppe family was getting close to moving again, Adrian's gang pressured him into thievery, and they beat him up pretty bad when he admitted that he was going to be leaving for good. He managed to escape using some of the skills he learned when practicing his capoeira with Teri. After he fled the scene of the crime, Adrian intended to sneak back home unnoticed and heal himself up with Morning Sun the moment the sun rose so it looked like nothing happened. ...Until Teri caught him at his own doorstep. She was fully aware of how he was moving away and intended to confess what she actually felt towards him. It wasn't hard for her to figure out what he had done, and Adrian intended to present her with his stolen item in forgiveness (a Heat Rock that he had no idea was actually a fake), but she swatted it out of his paws, it shattered on the driveway, and she ran off, heartbroken.
The experience haunted Adrian during the plane ride to the family's next destination - Undella Town - and he admitted to his parents that he was tired of moving so frequently. He wanted a single place to stay so he could actually make meaningful bonds with people. To solve the problem, they had him enrolled him into the prestigious Armonia Academy, where the Growlithe boy actually started making good friends, shared many meaningful experiences, developed a little as a person, and even got himself a pet. He had never been happier anywhere else, and he had only been there for half a school year at best. However, in letters back home, he listed minor complaints about the cold weather come wintertime; he was a Fire-type after all, and much more used to balmy, beachy weather. But instead of some winter clothes, Adrian's crazed, overprotective Arcanine-natured mother sent him a ship to come back home. (Really she just missed him too much and has a selfish streak when it comes to her son.) He had no other choice, and he was miserable when he came back, even after his father told him that he quit his old job and that they were in Undella to stay. When he was enrolled in school again he barely ever interacted with his classmates, afraid to make any more bonds that he would have to leave behind again. Mrs. Foalsteppe was delighted that he was back home, but Mr. Foalsteppe worried for his son's sanity, so he had him signed up for social counseling. There, they attempted to have him befriend a mute Braixen named Devon, who also had problems bonding with his classmates. Surprisingly, Adrian and Devon started to become better friends to the point where they trusted each other with their deeper, darker secrets, including the crimes that Adrian had committed in the past and the insecurities that Devon faced daily that held him back from attempting to approach people (such as the fear that people would make fun of his disability). Devon wasn't judgmental, though so the Growlithe eventually figured that honesty was probably a better policy, since it was really a great stress-reliever. He eventually also helped Devon evolve into Delphox, and Adrian followed suit to support him, using a Fire Stone he obtained at Armonia to evolve into an Arcanine. Mrs. Foalsteppe noticed how much livelier her son had become after being exposed to social interaction, and finally figured out that she was in the wrong to pull him out of Armonia in the first place. So she surprised him with another filled-out application to return back to the school that held the people he held most dear.
Bullet; OrangeSummary characteristic: Likes to fight (Shows enjoyment in a friendly spar every once in a while to keep active.)
Bullet; OrangeHobbies:
-Scrapbooking; with how often he's had to move in the past, Adrian's made it a commitment of his to document where he's been.
-Photography is a follow-up of the last hobby. He likes taking pictures of his friends whenever he can, but after taking pictures of other things like flowers and trees, he decided that professional photography would be a nice career path.
-Vollyball is easily one of Adrian's favorite sports, seeing how often he played it with the beach bums he's met in the past.
-His father also found the free time to teach Adrian how to kayak, despite his mother's logical protests. Despite the danger of the water, kayaking is easily Adrian's favorite recreational activity.
-He likes meeting new people.
-He's become more open about practicing his capoeira skills after using them against Devon to help him train and evolve. The Braixen was actually impressed with Adrian's ability to so fluidly move, so he's decided that it isn't something he should be embarrassed about anymore. Teri was probably out of his life for good anyway. He still wants to find a professional who can help him practice, though.
-Adrian really likes to dance, which is one of the reasons he was able to pick up capoeira so quickly.
-He has taken a shine to battling in general. He can easily use that opportunity to show off what he's learned from taking capoeira.
Bullet; OrangeMoveset:
-Morning Sun (Egg)
Inherited from his father - only usable in the daytime.
-Sunny Day (TM)
Only usable in the daytime.
-Flamethrower
The move Adrian usually resorts to, but he tries to get a Sunny Day in first.
-Reversal
Adrian's trump card. This is how he exploits his capoeira skills in battle. He'll use it when he's weak, then restore himself with Morning Sun so he can keep going.
:bulletorange:Favorite Berry Flavor: Spicy
:bulletorange:House: Amity
Bullet; OrangeExtras/Fun Facts:
-Pretty big party animal, this boy.
-He has overlarge ears and fluffy cheeks inherited from his Espeon father. His blue eyes came from his mother.
-Adrian's best senses are hearing and smell. His mother's taken him in to have his eyesight checked multiple times, but he always came out just barely not needing glasses. But he's been diagnosed to EVENTUALLY need them.
-Despite having really good hearing, Adrian is tone-deaf. But he still likes to sing and loves karaoke. Just a tip: DON'T LET HIM DO IT.
-His favorite color is teal.
-Adrian gets really pumped up in bright sunlight, as he enjoys warm weather the most.
-He keeps the 'Heat Rock' shard and stud in his ear as a reminder to not be foolish like he was before (it barely works). And he still doesn't know that the Heat Rock is just stained glass.
-Despite being a Fire-type, he adores the ocean, and is extremely biased when it comes to Water-type Pokémon.
-His tattoo looks like this: www.visualvinyl.com/files/imag… He's still extremely embarrassed that he has it. It used to be that he would have to cover it with clothing, but now his fluffy Arcanine fur can conceal it quite well.
-If his hair was longer rather than just fluffy, he would have it up in a ponytail.
-The shirt was a gift from Devon.
-With his beach-like vernacular, Adrian is comfortable with words like 'dude' and 'gnarly.'
-He's very coordinated when it comes to his body, he has great balance, and he really likes to just move.
-Adrian used to be horribly smitten with Teri, but has since gotten over it after he made such good friends in Armonia before. He decided to clean his palette and give himself the opportunity to fall in love all over again. Whoops.
-He and Devon are now pen pals.
-Adrian decided that it would be best that his pet - a Buizel named Zoe - stays with his parents. His mother is a basketcase, so it would really calm her down to have a companion like Zoe. Aside from that, she could act as a mascot for the new shop Adrian's father opened up in Undella.
-Due to being newly evolved, he may be very slightly clumsy with his new height and weight. But seeing how much he likes to move, it'll be easy for him to adapt.
Adrian is awesome, his design is great, just as his personality and history. He is so optimistic and I love that he focuses on sun moves.
Congrats on getting in!
